Reporting to the Director of Asia, part of the Operations team which is in charge of sourcing the offer available on our platforms, you will be responsible for the Japanese market launch and revenues. Embodying the Japanese market at Back Market, you will handle communication and PR in Japan. Working closely with each Back Market business teams (marketing, product, business development and quality), you will design a market fit Japanese product, develop the Japanese market strategy and targets (traffic, CVR, product selection and inventory, pricing, quality ), monitor their completion working hand-in-hand with the business (Supply, Marketing) and Product teams and designing solutions to increase the Japanese GMV. YOUR MISSION (IF YOU ACCEPT IT): Work hand-to-hand with the HR team to design the best recruitment and HR strategy in the Tokyo offices to ensure the highest Japanese performances. Adapt and design the Back Market Japanese product to the Japanese standards, working hand with the Head of Design; Support the Supply team during negotiation with Japanese key players, to build a strong local Supply; Define ambitious targets for Japan in partnership with the business teams (e.g. selection, inventory, pricing, payment methods, traffic, GMV); Lead the Japan Weekly Performance Review and conduct the operational monitoring of business results; Communicate at the company level on the Japanese market performance;Identify key improvements & blocking points for target completion, design solution hand-in-hand with other Business and Product teams and monitor their implementation and adoption; Benchmark competition to find growth opportunities, and be a key member of the roadmap design and prioritization with the Project teams; Be the Back Market spokesperson in Japan: press, events, ...
As the first Business Development Manager in Japan, you will have a critical impact on the Japanese market success. Reporting to the General Manager Japan, you will be responsible for the Japanese Supply Performance and Strategy - Selection, Stock & Pricing. You will be in charge of ensuring Back Market build a market leader position with the best supply and the strongest partner onboard, converting a portfolio of the most strategic prospects and maintaining strong seller partnerships with existing sellers - identifying means to improve the seller experience to increase their commitment. Coordinating with the Core Supply teams in France, you will adapt locally the Supply strategy, organisation and processes. YOUR MISSION (IF YOU ACCEPT IT): Converting a portfolio of top priority partners and delivering partner satisfaction and business growth, as well as identifying new strategic prospects with the highest business potential. Building an effective operational strategy to approach them. Approaching, negotiating with and converting these strategic leads into Back Market sellers. Adapt, improve and build tools and processes, working hand-to-hand with the Back Market Product team with the constant aim of improving Japanese partners' satisfaction. Lead the Japan Supply Performance, conduct the operational monitoring of supply results and communicate at the company level on the Japanese supply performance.
