As the research and analysis division of the Economist Group, The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) helps leaders prepare for opportunity, empowering them to act with confidence when making strategic decisions. The EIU is the global standard in providing quality, actionable intelligence to the public and private sector, assessing issues that impact the marketplace for over two hundred countries. The Economist Corporate Network (ECN) is the briefing and networking service of the Economist Group. Through our members-only C-suite forums we help international firms understand the political, economic and business environments of the high-growth markets where they operate. We work with them to assess risks, opportunities, trends and issues of importance and how to respond to them. The service is delivered in many ways: •Through a programme of meetings that create the opportunity to hear from Economist Group experts, from invited outside experts, and from peers within the network; •Through private briefings delivered to clients at their management and strategy meetings; •Through summary reports and data (covering key economies and business issues).

なぜやるのか

The sales operations and event logistics adminstrator, North Asia is the sole support staff member for our North Asia operations. Based in Tokyo, you will be responsible for supporting our sales and editorial directors in the provision of our service to clients in Japan and Korea. Key responsibilities will include: •Sales operations including contract processing and billing •Account servicing and member relations •Event planning and logistics •General administrative support in both Japanese and English This is a junior but very key role in our small team with scope to make dramatic impact on our success in North Asia

To succeed in the role you must have: •2-4 years in a customer facing admin, event planning or project coordination role •Strong negotiation skills •Good organization skills •Native Japanese language skills, and fluency in English You will be able to demonstrate: •A highly motivated, can-do, team oriented attitude •Excellent communication skills •Dedication to quality and client satisfaction •You are results-oriented •You enjoy working with and helping clients •Intellectual curiosity •An engaging personality that thrives in a highly personalized service and sales environment •Ability to get on with a wide range of personalities and cultures
