SaaS Content Writer

For What We Are Hiring We are looking for a SaaS Content Writer to nurture Sprout’s written content production and strategy. You will drive our written content and be the voice of Sprout. The content you produce will be relevant for websites, blogs, articles, white papers, product descriptions and social media platforms. Team You Are Joining You will be joining our founding team work remotely from any where in the world. You will start from the ground up to build and launch the very rocket ship in which you will ride. This role will also closely work with our founders along with our business development, sales and product marketing functions. Problem You Will Solve In this role, you will make Sprout the destination and subject matter expert for equity and stakeholder management. You will become the brains behind our content and play a significant role making Sprout an evangelist for founders, investors and advisors. Ultimately, you will be able to contribute to the development of strategies that will increase reader engagement and knowledge. You will share industry trends and market insights from the larger community and turn that into insights for our community. You will also keep track of the latest SEO techniques, conduct keyword research and employ best practices to increase traffic to the company website. You will assist the marketing team in developing content for advertising campaigns. About the Role This is a freelance role, but you will be regularly producing a high volume of content pieces, especially at the onset. You are a passionate and prolific writer with numerous examples to share. We have a lot of knowledge to share with you, but you are a master researcher / aspiring investigative journalist. You have the ability to adapt your written voice for different professional audiences. If you want to, you can adapt a conversational, casual writing style that appeals to entrepreneurs, investors and professional advisors. You have prior knowledge and experience within the venture capital and startup community. You might even have prior experience writing for a B2B SaaS company and might even know a thing or two about law and finance. You know how to create compelling headlines and body copy that will capture the attention of the target audience. You have experience in identifying customers’ needs and recommending new content to address gaps in the company's current content. You are detailed and can proofread content for errors and inconsistencies. You are relentlessly editing and polishing existing content and drafts to improve readability. You are the type of person that simply will not stand for misspellings and grammatical mistakes. You are also a ninja with journalism tools and can create necessary graphics. You are a person that thrives working remotely with very little supervision. Needless to say, you are a strong communicator with native fluency in the English language.
