Who you’ll be working with:
1) the tech lead (33 y.o. MIT graduate, chill guy, can speak Japanese well)
2) one long term intern who mostly works on the booking system
3) one UX/UI designer
Working style: you need to be able to work independently and take the initiative. We greatly value your ability to learn by yourself and think critically. Of course you’ll receive support any time you need it.

Technical Requirements:
proficiency in Python (in particular, familiarity with unit testing)
ability to read English fluently (we use English exclusively to discuss technical matters)
This would be a plus: familiarity with Kotlin
Other requirements: ability to visit the office (Tokyo, Otsuka station) at least once a week.
Remote work: for the first 40 hours of your internship, we ask you to work at our office. Depending on your progress, we will then consider allowing you to work from home. You will still be required to visit the office about once a week.
What you’ll be doing:
1) work with AWS. In particular, we'll ask you to refactor some Lambda functions, possibly develop some new code.
2) convert an existing research code (Python) into a production code, so tasks will involve a lot of refactoring and testing.
