Scope: Shortlisted candidate will be assigned to Marketing Platform Section’s development unit. Which is developing Mail Marketing system, and other e-commerce related services. These Services are used by all Rakuten business units. Responsibilities: • Involve in whole process of Development, Production System Operation including system maintenance, monitoring, automation, backend operation, ensuring high availability, regular application release, troubleshooting, middleware performance tuning and collaborate with functional , technical team members to provide high quality services. • Always improve the system performance, stability to provide 100% availability for Mail Marketing System. • Should have service ownership mind & proactively able to react to the production issues. • Propose new technologies, tools etc to improve whole process of development, testing and production operations. Strong self-learning ability, motivation to work on new Technologies. • Work closely with developers, product manager, project manager, team lead, security and QA team members in different location (Singapore, Japan, India etc). Qualifications: •Must-have o Over 5 years of PHP development, and MySQL backend experience o Experience of object oriented programming / modular programming o Front-end development including jQuery,Ajax, HTML,CSS and Smarty templating o Strong knowledge in LINUX based system operation and extensive skills in Linux commands. o Expert knowledge with MVC frameworks: CakePHP, Zend, Laravel, Symfony, etc. o Handling high traffic production system independently, troubleshooting (middleware, infra etc). o Strong Scripting knowledge like Perl, shell, Python, etc. o Comfortable with git version control o Good knowledge in System, application status monitoring. o Good Knowledge in secure web application development o Enthusiasm and an interest in all things technology o Non-Business hour emergency support for critical issues. o Flexible for emergency support timing based on the business requirement.
