About the Role You’ll work actively with the Technical Lead and the Product Management team to plan and implement all technical requirements and ensure that these are directly relevant to the company’s broader commercial objectives. Based in Singapore, you will be working with an international team, and will be expected to be a strong communicator as well as a team player. Responsibilities ● Build our cross-platform web app using React Native ● Collaborate closely with the product owner and wider team to help define the product roadmap ● Make sure our product experience is smooth and enjoyable, by tracking and fixing bugs appropriately ● Apply your creativity to make sure the app delivers a stand-out user experience and is a delight to use Technical Abilities ● Code and deploy applications in a cross-platform, cross-browser environment ● Experience building user interfaces and prototypes from wireframes and designs ● Critical fluency in:​ HTML5/CSS3 and Responsive Design, Node.js, React /Good-to-know:​ GraphQL ● Software:​ Trello / JIRA, Sketch ● Have experience with MEAN Stack and relational databases ● Have experience with third party data sources and designing APIs ● Knowledgeable of REST-Based APIs, Web Application Development Frameworks and Wordpress, Theming and Module Development Experience ● Familiar with development and debugging tools for cross-browser issues ● Follow and implement industry accepted best practices and tools, and modern web standards ● Fluency with Git, Code reviews and Issue management ● Strong understanding or interest in e-commerce, analytics, data visualization, machine learning,AI and augmented reality is a bonus. Just because Google/Facebook/Amazon does something doesn’t mean it’s right for us. We may be small, but we punch above our weight – and we don’t simply subscribe to established convention. What We Don’t Believe In 4. Another Day, Another Dollar If you’re looking for a place to coast, Sapio is not the right place for you – you’ll find your experience to be extremely uncomfortable and you’ll probably want to leave within a month or less. If you just want to slap something on your CV, or get your nagging parents off your back, we suggest you look elsewhere – there are plenty of better places to duck under the radar. 5. Don’t Wanna Grow Up At Sapio, we believe in treating everyone like a mature adult. This means you own your own sh*t, and have an attitude of radical accountability. When something goes wrong, we have the guts to own up and fix our own mess. We don’t gel well with entitled brats who think that the world owes them a living. 6.
