UniTwo's Vision is to make education abundant and accessible to everyone. UniTwo's Mission to connecting people based on major & interest. A high school student, before entering to his/her desired college has to go through huge screening process starting from taking language proficiency tests to many professional exams which is sometimes very complicated for an average student such as IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, ACT, GED, GRE, GMAT, EJU, Asian & European Language Proficiency and many other test depending on their field & destination. At such young age, many do not even know where to go, whom to consult and how to take such test. Even though they manage to go to a college, a 33% first-year international student dropout rate occurs worldwide, which is a huge loss for the society. UniTwo aims to solve this problem by connecting people based on academic major & interest especially high school students to university students so that a high-school student does not necessarily go through university prep schools to various agents to land their desired college instead get mentored by a successful university student. This is how a university student is also rated for his/her contribution towards the community in the UniTwo platform.

We are looking for a Chief Technology Officer (“CTO”) who will be responsible for defining the overall information technology (“IT”) strategy and driving its execution for UniTwo. The CTO partners with department and initiative leads to understand business needs and offers cost-effective technology solutions to help them achieve their goals. The CTO is responsible for the ongoing assessment and mitigation of UniTwo Mobile & Web Platform, server end, cybersecurity risk and aims to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of IT operations in-house and outsourced. The CTO serves as a member of the senior leadership team, and leads a team of Engineer and Designer both in Tokyo and abroad for UniTwo mobile and web platform development and maintenance, server side, front end back end, quality assurance, planning new features, payment and, security. The CTO is responsible for all IT data, systems, and operations throughout the organization; and thus has a significant influence on the effectiveness of the organization and impact of the work. The CTO will hold vested stock option in the company apart from basic remuneration. The CTO must be able to develop native app both in iOS & Android and work in React.js. The CTO must be able to design front end and code back-end web application. The CTO must be familiar with all kind of payment gateway. In case you are familiar with blockchain and crypto-currency that's a plus. We don't care about your qualification as long as you have the passion and experience to drive and build an awesome team.
