METRICAは、インターネット技術・AI技術・Edge-Computing技術を利用して、 病院・在宅・介護施設などの「医療現場」でのデータ取得・解析・動的情報共有のためのインフラを整備し、医療現場の業務効率化と最適な情報連携を実現する、 新しい医療現場をデザインするためのプロダクトの開発を行っています。 METRICA uses Internet, AI, and Edge-Computing technology to establish infrastructure for data acquisition, analysis, and dynamic information sharing at medical sites such as hospitals, patient’s homes, and nursing homes. We are developing new products that will optimize the operational efficiency,  information sharing, and communication networks at these medical sites.

日本の医療の質は世界トップレベルを誇り、今後も向上し続けて行きます。 一方で高齢化や疾患分布の変化を背景として、医療・介護費用の増大、現場業務の非効率・負担増などの様々な問題が浮き彫りになっています。 また、これらの問題に対する解決策は、未だに見つかっていない状況です。 慶應義塾大学医学部の学生であるCEO西村は、医学生として日本の医療現場に携わる過程で、 そのような医療の実情を目の当たりにしてきました。 近年、多くの企業が最先端のITテクノロジーを駆使して、様々な分野の問題解決に挑戦しています。 医療もまた、注目を集めている分野の1つです。しかしながら、さまざまな障壁により、医療領域でのIT導入は未完の状況です。 我々は、医療のスペシャリストとIT技術のスペシャリストの完全なる協調により、医療領域へのIT導入を推し進め、医療の常識をアップデートします。 医療に根強く残る、前時代的な慣習や非効率的なワークフローを平成の時代に置き去りにして、あたらしい医療の未来を切り開き、 「最適な医療環境を、すべての人に。」というVISIONの実現を目指します。 The quality of Japanese medical care is one of the best in the world and is expected to continue improving in the future. However, with the aging society and changes in relevant disease distributions, various issues have surfaced such as increased medical and nursing costs, and increased inefficiencies and burdens at medical sites. As of now, no adequate solution to these problems has been found. As a medical student at Keio University, METRICA’s CEO, Nishimura, recognized these imminent issues and saw their effects first-hand.  In recent years, many companies have sought to apply the latest IT to solve problems in various fields. One notable field is medical care; however, due to several barriers, the implementation of IT in the medical field have not yet been incomplete and its full potential is yet to be realized. Through improved cooperation between medical and IT specialists, we aim to promote the introduction of IT in the medical field and modernize the medical system.  Leaving the old-fashioned customs and inefficient workflows of medicine in the past era behind, we hope to open the doors to a new medical future and act upon the vision, “Delivering the best medical care to everyone.”

METRICAには、医療・IT技術・ビジネスに精通する若いメンバーが集っています。 CEOの西村は慶應義塾大学医学部の学生として医学・医療を学びながら、情報科学・機械学習を独学で学んできました。 これまでに、深層学習を用いた医学研究やIT企業で深層学習を利用した産業プロダクトの開発、大手企業主催のデータハッカソンで優秀賞獲得など、医療以外の領域でも幅広く活動してきました。 CTOの幅野は、METRICAで開発責任者を担いながら、慶應義塾大学大学院で、深層学習の高速化とネットワーク・セキュリティについて研究しています。 学部1年の時から、ソフトバンク株式会社を始めとする複数のIT企業でエンジニア・インターンとして、Web技術や機械学習技術を駆使して技術開発を経験してきました。 また、東京大学、京都大学、慶應大学などの学生インターンや、大手広告代理店や大手戦略コンサルティングファーム、証券会社出身のビジネスメンバーがJoinしています。 METRICA consists of young members who are familiar with medical care, IT, and business.   The CEO, Nishimura, self-studied information science and machine learning while pursuing his work as a medical student at Keio University. He has applied his skills beyond the medical field, performing medical research using deep learning, developing industrial products at IT companies using deep learning, and winning some data hackathons hosted by major corporations.  The CTO, Habano, who is responsible for the development sector at METRICA, is currently studying the advancement of deep learning and network security at Keio University Graduate School. He began interning as an engineer from as early as his freshman year and has experience working at several major IT companies, including SoftBank Corp. Additionally, student interns from the University of Tokyo, Kyoto University, and Keio University, as well as business members from major advertising agencies, strategic consulting firms, and security corporations have joined the METRICA team.

現在METRICAは、新オフィスへの移転を計画しています。 物件選びからオフィス家具の購入など、やらねばやらないことがまだまだ沢山あります。 そして残念なことに、METRICAの現行メンバーはセンスのカケラもない人達ばかりなので、 どのようなオフィスを作れば、メンバーが働きやすい、楽しい会社を作ることができるのか、頭を悩ませています。 オフィス家具などの必要物資の選定などのオフィスの環境デザインから、その先の本格的な業務(総務/事務/マーケッティング等)まで幅広く協力してくれるメンバーを募集しています。この時期から入ってもらえると、自分がオフィスに欲しいものが無条件で手に入れられる可能性が高めです（笑） 勢いと活力のある現行メンバーと、アーリーステージから一緒に仕事をして、0→1で良い会社を作り上げることに興味ある人がいたら是非募集してください！
