What we do

StashAway is the faster way to reach your financial goals. As a digital wealth management platform, we design personalised portfolios and monthly investment plans based on your unique characteristics, and manage your portfolio with highly advanced investment strategies. The company was founded in Singapore in 2016 with the ambition of expanding to other fast-growing Asia Pacific markets since 2018. We are licensed by Monetary Authority of Singapore and Securities Commission Malaysia. StashAway is led by its three founders, Michele Ferrario, former CEO of ZALORA Group; Freddy Lim, former Global Head of Derivatives Strategy of Nomura; and Nino Ulsamer, founder of several technology companies around the world.

Why we do

We deliver sophisticated, personalized advice at a fraction of the cost of existing, basic solutions. Our advanced technology enables us to deliver to each investor a sophisticated investment strategy that was once only available to institutions and high net-worth individuals. Traditional investment products charge between 1.25% and 5% in annual fees. At 0.2% to 0.8% in annual management fees, StashAway offers a convenient, digital user experience with personalised portfolios with no minimum balance, no restrictions for withdrawals, and real-person customer service. We encourage individuals of all net worths with portfolios of any size to build their wealth.

How we do

Supported by prominent advisors, the StashAway team is committed to providing investment advice and customer experience of the highest quality. Our team is made up of top-tier developers, designers, fund managers, creatives, and managers with diverse backgrounds from all over the world – currently representing Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Singapore, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Vietnam. In July 2020, StashAway raised US$16 million through a Series C round led by Square Peg, the largest venture capital fund in Australia. Burda Principal Investments, the growth capital arm of German media and tech company Hubert Burda Media, as well as existing investor Eight Roads Ventures, the global investment firm backed by Fidelity, both also participated in the round. We write our own rules, and do whatever it takes to build a substantial, meaningful product and service. We work hard, don’t cut corners, and love bonding over (lots of) food. With regards to our culture, we want StashAway to (i) have a rewarding, diverse, radically candid and cooperative growth environment; (ii) where people work hard, take responsibilities and grow as individuals and as a team; (iii) embrace an open-minded meritocracy, and (iv) are ethical and compliant.
Economic Regime-based Asset Allocation™: Our proprietary investment strategy that harnesses economic trends to maximise your returns at the risk level that feels right to you.
Informative StashAway Academy seminars and webinars: Get insights into managing your savings, planning for your retirement, and navigating your portfolios across economic cycles.
May 2020: We work amazing as a team together -- whether in person or virtually! This was our first 100% virtual town hall.
Feb 2020: StashAway Malaysia team celebrates Lunar New Year with some festive louhei.
Everyone should be able to build and protect their wealth, whether that's $1,000 or $10,000,000.
Investing should be personal, intelligent, cost-effective and secure.

Application Requirements: Please attach your written portfolio (in addition to your résumé and cover letter) when you apply for this role. Applications without the required documents submitted will be regarded as incomplete. Do you love storytelling and writing compelling content? Are you financially-savvy and have a passion for content marketing? We are looking for a dynamic Financial Content Writer to join StashAway's Marketing team to tell stories that shine a light on the financial conundrums and questions people have, in a way that encourages positive action and empowerment. You will produce both personal finance (75%) and macroeconomic (25%) content. You will write in a voice that’s informative but not jargoned-out or condescending, and relatably human but not frivolous. And you won’t be afraid to get bold and tell it like it is. Whatever the task, your prime directive will be to make sure the StashAway story is engaging: compelling, rewarding, informative, accessible, and consistently told. You’ll be part of the Marketing team, working directly with the Head of Communications, to deliver regular article content on our resource center that supports various marketing strategies, brand activities, thought leadership in the investment space, and company communications. In addition to working with our Head of Communications, you’ll also work directly with StashAway’s Chief Investment Officer to produce macroeconomic content in the context of our investment strategy and offering. Content for which you will be responsible to prepare includes published reports, bite-size market commentary, and evergreen financial literacy and personal finance content. This role is for someone who is curious and a self-starter, and who can comfortably research and grow over time into a subject matter expert on personal finance and investing. You’ll need strong writing and communication skills to efficiently produce effective financial content for our resource center. Responsibilities: - Produce evergreen personal finance and financial literacy content to support the brand - Collaborate with the marketing and branding team on campaigns by contributing strategic content - Occasionally work with Chief Investment Officer on investment research and analysis, edit his monthly newsletters related to StashAway's investment strategy (ERAA®) (https://www.stashaway.sg/r/stashaways-asset-allocation-framework) - Collaborate on occasional evergreen financial literacy and personal finance articles
