About the role
The People Operations Lead is responsible for laying the foundations for growing our team, while maintaining our culture of hybrid remote working, embracing development and building scalable people-oriented policies.
This team member is someone that is able to capitalise on technology and agencies to increase talent acquisition, increase retention and to further strengthen bonds and culture within the organization. He/She should be great with people relationships, as well as have some understanding of organisational psychology to optimise the best outcome for the company. He/She should have the ability to influence fun and happiness.
At the beginning of your first 6 months, you will be heavily involved in supporting the talent acquisition and onboarding efforts as we intend to double our team size. Subsequently, you will be more heavily involved in people's success (L&D, Engagement, etc.).
You will be our first HR function, and we are looking for someone that is willing to break the stereotypes of what HR should be.
You are
- Someone with HR experience, but are tired of bureaucracy of establishments
- Clear understanding of HR processes, and are able to optimize quantifiable metrics
- Wants to be the one that lays the foundation of HR and culture remotely
- Ability to be approachable, yet have the ability to honour confidentiality
- Gain trust and confidence from people older and more experienced than you
- Great in interpreting human psychology and have an extremely high level of EQ
- Wants to lead a team of 50 head count today, and triple that headcount in 2 years time
You will find yourself
- Harness the existing culture and values when building out internal people-related policies while devising new ways to reinforce and improve upon the culture
- Manage talent initiatives from recruiting and onboarding to employee retention and offboarding
- Identify and measure organizational KPIs and OKRs for the People Ops team
- Develop and implement effective training programs for employees
- Work to refine and improve our global renumeration frameworks
- Implement a global program for evaluating performance and providing feedback to support current departmental managers in employee performance management
- Provide strategy and oversight of the administration of our renumeration, benefits, and HRIS system
- Advise the executive team on relevant compliance and employment law and introduce best practices to protect the organization
- Advise the company on all legal issues related to employment
- Evaluate and manage all third party People Ops vendors and partners
- Report directly to the CEO
