Leader of in-country finance operation, including accounting, internal controls, treasury, and statutory compliance functions. The Finance manager is responsible for financial statements being prepared in accordance with accounting standards, statutory requirements and corporate polices; and required to liaise with Corporate Auditor, External Auditor, Bankers and Tax authorities Principal responsibilities • Reporting to Finance Director, Australasia, North East Asia & Japan • In charge of end-to-end finance operations and financial management of the entities in Japan • Manage the accounting month end closing process and deliverables in a timely and high-quality manner • Accountable for below key closing functions performed by SSC and in-country team General Accounting, Billing, Credit Management & Collection, Internal Trading & Inventory Management, Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable Management, Balance Sheet Review and Sign off • In charge of detailed Balance Sheet Review and Cashflow and working capital analysis and forecast • Provide guidance and support to the In-country Finance team • Ensure compliance of BT Finance Polices, IFRS and respective accounting standards of local markets • Ensure SOX, statutory audit and internal audit compliance • Initiate regular Finance review with RP&A, tax manager and country finance director to review actual results, balance sheet, cashflow, and pending audit, statutory filing, internal control, indirect and direct tax matters • Ad hoc projects
