Tech Research Asia translates the power of technology into business outcomes for executives and decision makers across Asia Pacific. We research and investigate exciting and important business and social trends to understand how technology can be applied for better results. For our CxO clients we offer an advisory service that includes custom researched and written content along with quarterly workshops. For our vendor clients we offer end-to-end services that start with pure consulting and research, strategic planning, sales and channel partner optimisation, content creation, and customer engagement (such as event presentations and moderation). TRA is a partner model and everyone we work with has the full flexibility to work as much or as little as they like. We have no offices - you work from where you want at the times you want. We have no sales people - the company is a vehicle for entrepreneurial types that are happy to do it all. And we have no employees - everyone is independent and many of us also run other businesses. We are different and you are in charge of your own fortunes.

どうやっているのか

TRA conducts its own independent research on technology and business trends across all of Asia Pacific. In some instances we do this completely independently and then publish it in our open and online journal, TQ (www.techquarterly.asia). In other cases our advisory or vendor clients commission us to do research and deliver findings either in presentations, at events, or in written or digital content. Our work spans: Telecommunications and Networking Devops and Agile Software Development Data Centres and Cloud computing Workplace Strategy, Collaboration, and Mobility Artificial intelligence and conversational user interfaces Blockchain and FinTech Smart Cities and Smart Industries (FSI, Agriculture, professional services, etc) Digital Transformation Customer Experience And more. We are also developing our own digital and data services.

こんなことやります

We are looking for a Japan-based leader who wants to invest in their own branch of Tech Research Asia. This position would suit someone that wants all the benefits that come with working for an existing research, consulting and advisory company, but who also wants to build it up in their own image in Japan and have ownership of a high growth company. If you love communicating how technology can change the way businesses and governments do what they do - and want to be in charge of your own branch of the company - then this is the position for you. This is a partner-based position suited to those who want to have flexible working conditions, and are happy with project-based opportunities (there is no salary). You need to be willing to put in the effort to set up TRA in Japan from the website through to the research, and also in events and finding new clients. You will effectively be running your own start up, but with support from the TRA team and some local resources. Although this position should focus on the Japanese domestic market, we have project opportunities across Asia Pacific that you could get involved in. Native-level Japanese speaking and writing capabilities are required, and reasonable English communication skills.
