Peraperaは、まだ翻訳されていないシリコンバレーのコンテンツを日本語で発信するサービスです。私たちのミッションは、言語の違いによる情報の非対称性を取り除き、世界中の情報を日本語で得られるようにすることです。現在はサンフランシスコ・シリコンバレーの有名起業家やVCのブログポストを日本語に翻訳した文章の掲載、またユーザーが翻訳してほしいと思った記事に投票ができるプラットフォームのアプリの運営をしています。 PeraPera is an iOS/web app that curates and translates the best content from Silicon Valley into Japanese. Our mission is to fix information asymmetry by breaking down language barriers caused by expensive translations. In addition to providing translations of blog posts by the best entrepreneurs and investors of Silicon Valley, we allow users to vote for the content they want to read next.

なぜやるのか

We decided to build PeraPera after realizing that valuable information was just not making its way into Japan. Digging deeper, we found the root cause to be expensive translations. We realized that if we all share the cost of translating content, more information would make its way into Japan. Lets work together to bring more information from other countries into Japan!

どうやっているのか

シリコンバレー出身のファウンダーが２人で立ち上げたアーリーステージの会社です。速さを重視している会社カルチャーで、ユーザーインタビュー、仮説検証を繰り返しながらプロダクトを開発、改善していきます。少人数の会社のため、一人の意見、決断が会社に大きく影響を及ぼします。主体性を持って仕事に取り組む事ができます。先日シードの資金調達を終了し、一緒に働く仲間を大募集しています。 We are two founders who have moved to Tokyo from Silicon Valley. We prioritize moving fast, talking to users, and validating hypotheses before building. We just finished raising money from some of the best investors in Tokyo, and are excited to start building up our company culture.

こんなことやります

We're looking for someone who is excited to be part of the founding team of a funded, early stage startup. You'll be building out the web version alongside Raymond (CTO and Co-Founder), so we expect you to be able to communicate in English. In addition, we have built our backend as a REST API using Scala, so we believe modern Javascript frameworks will be the best solution to build out our web app. You will work very closely with the founders, and help build out the company culture. We're a fun bunch of 2, and we're excited to meet you!
