My experiences

I am a graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Communication with the University at Buffalo (Singapore Institute of Management). I have had prior work experience as an intern with the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre (NVPC), in the Marketing Communications team as well as the Outreach & Engagement team. I also have a passion working with dogs and am a volunteer instructor and a writer/content producer at Save Our Street Dogs (SOSD).

I am driven and dedicated, especially so when I am passionate about a certain cause. When given a task to accomplish, I take it upon myself to execute it to the best of my ability, to deliver the best possible result.

During weekends, I spend my time volunteering at the Save Our Street Dogs (SOSD) shelter. I am also a part of the writing team that puts out engaging social media content on a regular basis. I was responsible for writing several adoption posts on Facebook, and filmed and edited SOSD’s year-end shelter adoption drive video. I always aim to write heartwarming and creative posts to capture attention and drive traffic on SOSD’s Facebook page, and eventually lead to potential adoptions. These dogs have captured my heart, and it gives me no greater joy than to see them in a happy home, winning over the hearts of their owners.

As someone who is just starting out, I understand that it is important to be open to absorbing new experiences and learning as much as I can. I am hungry to learn new skills and keen to meet people whom I can forge professional and hopefully personal connections as well. It is truly the human factor that is the primary shaper of one's experiences in the workplace, and I am excited to meet my future colleagues, friends and mentors.

Looking forward to the many exciting opportunities to embark on, people to meet, and experiences to discover!
