Have been wanted to be a teacher since I was 10 years old am currently working with children for Optional Practical Training with student visa. I’ve graduated from a college with a lot of experience in and out of campus. With my perseverance of 2-hour commuting everyday and being a member of 7 groups/organizations, I keep trying whatever new to me to grow up. Translates news from the government into Japanese and creates drafts of newsletters to send out to Japanese or Japan-related companies every week. Creates English version of the official webpage. Plans a series of news posts about Tokyo 2020 on the official Facebook to let English speakers know the movements toward it. Collects examples of online culture exchange programs among sister cities in order to suggest efficient and easy ways during this pandemic to cities and schools, concerning the weakened direct interactions due to the pandemic. Collects data and creates a document about agriculture in Montana.
Supports Japanese speaking children weekly online so that they can keep up with Japanese curriculum. Teaches Japanese and Math in Japanese in a way that the students can figure out by themselves with provided tips, being flexible about the materials and homework. Uses real examples and real stories that the students can feel it close since they do not use this language in their normal life. Speaks slowly and softly to make sure the students understand well, and includes fun and comfortable conversations to make sure that they enjoy studying and efficiently learn things in an hour.
Implemented marketing and promoted the service “Online Shukatsu”, which is for students who are looking for their first job opportunity. Operated Facebook page account and group to inform members about coming and past events so that they can know how to use our service and efficiently get the benefits.
A couple of families needed help to watch their children while they were working since the COVID-19 pandemic started. Assisted a child to actively participate in her class and learn from online lessons. Offered various activities to improve the children's gross and fine motor skills at the same time as they are having fun.
Oversaw children from 0 to 5 years old in each class and assisted children to think and try by themselves. Supported teachers by making activity materials and cleaning rooms and toys, being very careful so that children do not get choked or hurt by small parts or do not get viruses especially after the pandemic started.
