John Andre Abad is a 3D Character Modeler operating out of Vancouver BC. Over the past year, Andre has been pursuing a career in Digital Media as a student through the 3D Modeling, Arts, and Animation Program administered by British Columbia Institute of Technology, Burnaby, graduating in December of 2020. This has allowed him to learn and practice the different parts of the Videogame Industry pipeline such as Concept creation, Modeling, Texturing, Rigging and Animation. He has aspirations of one day becoming a Lead Character Modeler, by starting small and working his way up through the ranks in the Videogame industry, with a preference leaning towards more aesthetically simple and stylistic games. All for the purpose of participating in creating things that once inspired him during his childhood and helped form who he is today, and to one day help forge such inspiration for the youth of tomorrow. Studios that inspired him to go down such a path include companies like Nintendo, Bandai Namco, and Square Enix. Andre has an active mind is eager to learn, as when he is confronted with a problem, he does not feel comfortable leaving it alone, and will try any means or workarounds, thinking outside of the box in order to resolve the issue, and if he still can not find the means to do so, he is not afraid to ask questions to those who are more experienced in the field. Andre spends his free time working on modeling characters for his own personal projects to sharpen his skills as a 3D artist. If he is not working in 3d, he will be working on his 2D media presence. Before pursuing a career in 3D, he would create 2D animated videos pertaining to stories from his personal life, and the lessons he learned through those experiences in the hopes that others can enjoy his work while also learning a thing or two about life.
