A month on Wantedly now, and the pattern surprised me.
I went in with a shortlist of companies I assumed would be the best fit, the well-known names, the obvious targets. Then a small, twenty-person team building a language-learning tool caught my attention harder than any of them, not because of size or reputation, but because their Stories read like people who actually cared about the specific problem they were solving.
That's not something you can predict from a company's size or funding round. You only notice it by reading enough Stories that the ones with real texture start standing out from the ones that read like they were written by committee.
Month two starts now, with the same consistency and a sharper list this time.
