Growing out of the comfort zone

To begin with, I'd like to give a quick brief about myself. As Computer Enthusiast during high school, I took up vocational computer science course in high school, I developed interest in Technology. Taking it forward, I chose Information Technology as my major during engineering. The joy and satisfaction of studying courses like Data Structures, Artificial Intelligence, Automata Theory, C and Python still remains unmatched.

For me, engineering was also a facilitator for developing an all round personality. I enjoyed being engaged as a Training and Placement Coordinator for internships then. It was this experience that led me to take up a Recruitment Consultant role in Japan, one of the toughest markets for the recruitment industry. There were several concerns while making a choice different from a standard career path. But, I strongly believe to take up risks, fail fast and learn faster from it. And then I land in Tokyo !

A new challenge, a new place (sort of a nightmare for vegetarians though), a new culture all at once, and on my own for the first time ever. With this change, I decided to move fast and break things to keep going forward. I've had an exceptional experience working as a Recruitment Consultant because of that attitude.

However, something was missing. That was programming, learning about Tech advancements, being able to innovate and develop products to contribute to solve problems. I believe the key elements of innovation, creativity and building solutions to make people's everyday life are the core of Computer and Internet industry.

Out of my comfort zone, I learnt to stretch myself and develop the courage to take up risks. Returning back to the passion of life and swimming deep waters there is what I look forward to now.
