We provide a platform for software developers to monetize their open-source projects with paid licensing, support and additional services, and turn them into a professional business. Think GitHub meets Shopify.
なぜやるのか
Only 7% of open-source projects are actively maintained. Our goal is to change that by adding a commercial layer that supports open-source projects, duplicating the success of companies such as MySQL and Redhat for small projects.
どうやっているのか
Binpress currently operates from Mountain View, CA, in the 500startups office (we are in the 500startups accelerator program). We are 2 co-founders - Adam with a design background and handles operations and business aspects, and Eran is the technical lead but also handles user experience, copywriting and sales.
