量子技術は研究室を出て、産業として本格的に動き始めています。しかし、それを支える専門人材はまだ足りていません。McKinseyの調査（2022年）では、量子コンピューティング分野の求人数は、その職に就ける卒業生数の約3倍にのぼると報告されています。

Building a career in quantum (English summary)

Quantum technology is moving out of the lab and into industry, and the specialist talent needed to support it is still scarce. McKinsey (2022) found that quantum computing job postings outnumbered qualified graduates roughly three to one.

Key roles: quantum hardware (superconducting, trapped-ion, neutral-atom, photonic), software and algorithms, control electronics and cryogenics, quantum communication and sensing, and commercial and leadership roles.

In-demand skills: strong foundations in physics, EE or CS (a PhD is often an advantage), Python and C++ plus quantum SDKs, hands-on experimental and engineering experience, and the ability to work across disciplines and borders.

Working globally: the UK, Europe and the US offer employers from start-ups to big tech and national labs, and Japanese quantum companies are increasingly hiring internationally.
