Dental Implants Guide
Dental implants are dental appliances that replace missing tooth roots with dental prosthetics, such as crowns and dentures. A dental implant consists of a metal cylinder (resembling a dental post) that is surgically inserted into the jawbone where the root used to be. This part usually takes about 3 months for bone integration and healing before the actual restoration can be placed on top of it.
