The Quantitative Finance Major in SMU exposed me to various asset classes such as equity, fixed income, derivatives and structured products. It also provided me with knowledge on the various trading and hedging strategies as well as portfolio management across various asset classes, in addition to financial modelling using coding skills such as Python and VBA. Additionally, my Second Major (Economics) provides me with the ability to analyse trends and perform forecasting via using various models such as moving average and regression.
