独自製作作品。人との距離に応じて変化するプロジェクション絵画。 The world harbors reality not visible to the eye. A family suffering from hunger. A child sleeping in the barn. Reality that we can not turn our backs on, just because it is not visible. “Vincent” is an installation piece which brings these non-visible realities to light through the combination of paintings, technique, code art, and sensors. Vermeer’s “ Girl with a Pearl Earring” projected onto a white canvas. As one approaches the painting, high frequency sensors detect the distance between the piece and the person. The closer one approaches more non-visible realities come to light. Resulting in the girl shedding tears—as she sees reality. We should not be preoccupied with things only beautiful to the eye. Through “Vincent” we are able to see behind the un-seen reality, and touch upon the truth.
