Doctors and hospitals in Paraguay continue to work in line with the principles of the health statement. Some private doctors have begun offering cosmetic treatments like Botox injections and dermabrasion. Others have introduced bariatric surgery for patients who are obese and not able to consume appropriate diets. Several universities and specialized colleges also have initiated programs that promote ecological health, AIDS prevention, alcohol and drug rehab and cleanliness.
