To further learn and get to know more about enterprise grade solutions, I found and became part of the top 100 contributors in the Ever-Gauzy repo. It's an open source ERP, CRM, HRM, and ATS platform. I was able to contribute to their UI/UX redesigns and migration of codebase to newer versions with a total of ~26k loc and ~250 files changed across the monorepo.
Over my freelance career in SE, there was a huge curiosity of mine to architect Enterprise grade applications, but due to my limited resources I was never able to satiate it. The close I came was architecting/designing a microservices called Eezy-Cabs which was as a mini Uber. It wasn't a clone, but an attempt at recreating the a sample of the application using knowledge I self learnt, often from mistakes which led me to restart from scratch.
I was often called in by clients during my freelance career to make portfolios, participate in hackathons, build projects, etc - for them, which I often did, while also engineering independent projects for learning purpose by making use of tech stacks such as primitive HTML & CSS to Angular, Next.js, etc .
