The movement toward the 'win' of the Asian Cup begins. On the 18th, the Korea Football Association announced the list of national team A's domestic training call-ups for the 2023 Asian Football Confederation AFC Asian Cup to be held in Qatar in January next year. The 16-member roster consists of K-League players who are on the final roster for the Asian Cup and some overseas players who can train during the break. The training will be conducted by national team physical coaches Werner Roytard and Lee Jae-hong, and will focus on checking the physical condition and fatigue of players who have finished the recent season through weight training and conditioning and maintaining their condition. Jürgen Klinsmann, head coach of the A-team, said, "The purpose of this training is to allow players to leave for Qatar in their best condition through proper rest and training as several players have to start preparing for the tournament after the season." The training will be conducted only from Dec. 26 to Dec. 31 at hotels in downtown Seoul. All K-League players who are included in the upcoming training session will start from Dec. 26, and overseas league players will join the training on their individual schedules, including returning home. Meanwhile, the final entry for the Asian Cup has increased from 23 to 26, and the final list of 26 will be announced on the 28th. During this Asian Cup tournament, teams will register 23 players in each match out of 26 players submitted to the AFC, with the other three sitting on a technical sheet to watch the match.
