When Fazal founded Crescentrating in 2008, his vision was also to build a Trip Advisor like travel platform for Muslim travelers. Then in 2010 HalalTrip was founded by Kareem as a Muslim hotel review site. In 2013, Crescentrating acquired HalalTrip.

Through HalalTrip, we strive to make place discovery and trip planning fun and intuitive with our growing library of travel tips and video reviews. We want to bring together the global community by encouraging them to share and review Mosques, Halal Restaurants, Halal food dishes, Attractions and travel ideas. It also includes essential tools such as Qibla direction finder, Prayer times and In-flight prayer calculator.

CrescentRating along with its sister brands HalalTrip and Muslim Travel Warehouse are re-defining the travel market space. Embracing new technology to innovate and enhance the experience of Muslim travelers is a key ongoing focus for the company as the Halal tourism sector becomes more sophisticated and tech savvy. The role of Content Development & Management Intern is to support the Marketing team in the curation of Muslim friendly travel content published on the HalalTrip website, mobile app and social media platforms. This could be in the form of storytelling through native advertorial content or design collaterals for marketing materials. We are on the search for a Content Writer & Editor intern who has a passion for travel and sharing it with others! Key Duties and Responsibilities: - Writing, producing and editing content published on HalalTrip & CrescentRating - Manage quality of writing including extensive research, editing and rewriting where necessary - Comprehensive review of articles to ensure content meets quality standards and adheres to style guides - Liaising with team of writers, social media and SEO/SEM strategist as well clients on content focus - Understanding travel trends and audience of selected target markets and optimization for user search and experience - Interpret analytics to evaluate content performance in terms of reach, visitors, views and engagement - Other related duties and responsibilities as required Who are we looking for? - Excellent written, spoken and reading capability in English - Passionate and driven to share Muslim travel within the community - Able to work independently and as a member of the team - Able to multitask and work under time pressure - Enthusiastic, willingness to learn and results driven - Able to commit for a minimum of 4 months - Polytechnic and university students from all disciplines are welcome to apply.
