Paul Lewis

In 2018 I went backpacking through a few parts of japan visiting some friends, drawing, and taking thousands of photos. This was a reward to myself for getting through the last fully released movie I worked on, as we put in a ton of extra work to get it over the line. I went in January and I stayed for roughly a month till late February, as an escape from the Canadian winters and an excuse to practice my Japanese. I visited Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Matsu Shiro, and several friends helped me figure out the trains and bus routes. I deeply enjoyed my time and wish I could spend a lot more just walking around and appreciating the architecture, environment, and nature.
