Speech on Global Stage, Mobile World Congress in Shanghai: Jetbay as a Leading Model
As one of the winners in South East Asia Mobile App Challenge (SEAMAC) earlier this year, Jetbay was invited to present up-to-date information on China market at Mobile World Congress (MWC) Shanghai as a prelude to the upcoming China Mobile App Challenge (CMAC). Running in its fourth year, MWC Shanghai gathers world mobile leaders for mobile industry networking, new business opportunities and deal making. It is organized by GSMA and is held 15-17 July 2015 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). Jetbay is delighted to be a guest speaker on the main stage, presenting China inbound tourism market, its opportunities and challenges. Latest travel trends, market researches and problem case studies were introduced. In 2014, there were 128 million people coming into China with a spending of US $48 billion spending. It is also discussed that China will become world’s leading travel destination in few years to come. “Jetbay aims to integrate all travel related product and services such as hotels, car rentals, event tickets, packages tours, all in one platform,” speaker Jenell Lau stated. “We aggregate, translate, and convert users into customers and follow through with quality assurance.” She also mentioned that China inbound tourism is a blue ocean market as there are no apparent competitors with such tight networks with over 50 local travel agent partners that can provide world-class products and services in breadth and depth. As the industry game changer, Jetbay is planning further developments in different regions across the world and it has operating offices in Beijing and Silicon Valley. It will launch in Singapore as its South East Asia hub this August. About Jetbay Jetbay is a venture-backed, Silicon Valley company with presence in the North America, Europe, and throughout Asia. Launched in 2014, Jetbay is the world's largest travel research and booking platform for foreign travelers planning trips to China. Jetbay is the first travel site focused on the inbound travel market.
