New Manager Lee Bum-ho is also in full swing
KIA's new foreign pitchers Will Crow (30) and James Nail (31) proved their light physical condition. Crow started a practice game against Yakult in Japan on April 27, and allowed one run in two innings. He threw fastballs at speeds of up to 153 kilometers per hour and 149 kilometers per hour on average. He also skillfully threw breaking balls, including sliders, curves, and changeups. He proved his reputation as a full-time starter in the U.S. Major League Baseball. Crow pitched three scoreless innings in the game against the Lotte Giants on April 3. Nail also started at a practice game against Lotte on April 28, and garnered three strikeouts during the two innings, allowing no run. With a maximum speed of 149 kilometers per hour on two pitches, he mixed and threw a changeup, a cutter and a sweeper. At the last practice game against KT Wiz on April 4, he garnered three strikeouts during the three innings, allowing no run. This is the prowess of a foreign starting pitcher that KIA had hoped for. In the batting lineup, Yoon Do-hyun (21), Kia's "promising star," has been hitting hard every day. Yoon is an infielder who joined Kia as the 15th pick in the second round of the second round of the 2022 KBO League Rookie of the Year draft. He has played only one game in the first division games due to injuries over the past two seasons. He is proving himself that it will be different in the new season. He started as the third batter in three practice games that KIA had, and displayed stellar performance by posting a batting average of 0.461 (six for 13 times at bat), two homers, three RBIs and four runs scored. Notably, he had four hits including one home run at the game against KT on April 25. Yoon's performance has further strengthened the infield players' base. Yoon is a multiplayer who can play anywhere in the infield, including shortstop, second baseman and third baseman. As Kia's new manager Lee Bum-ho, Yoon now has more cards to use.
