Catcall - Card Game to Trigger Conversations on Sexism and Gender Stereotypes
Catcall is a card game on calling out sexist behaviors and gender stereotype. Sexism exists everywhere, whether you realize it or not. It might seem benign and even nice sometimes, but actually still harmful and ultimately limits the potential of both women and men. What we can do is talk about it. Start conversations. Stop normalizing sexist behaviors. Call out that sexist coworker or relative, men or women. Sexism is not cool. It’s time to stop. Interesting discussions came out after playing the game. Here in Asia, many people, especially women, expressed their familiarity with the sexist situations displayed in the game. Other commented on how the game made them realize how biased they were. The game created a fun, safe space to talk about sexism. This project is a result of a master thesis research.
