どうやっているのか
We are owned by a large Japanese company, DMM (http://eikaiwa.dmm.com/), that has aggressive ambitions to expand iKnow! globally. At the same time, we're an independent entity with a small company atmosphere and approach. We go from ideas to prototypes to working features quickly, and we're looking for someone who can help us every step of the way. We think that fast, focused releases are the best way to craft the best learning experiences for our users.
We are looking for a tester in our Tokyo office to help us deliver high-quality software quickly. You will be doing manual, exploratory testing in both a variety of browsers as well as our native mobile applications. We often have projects in different stages of development, and you will assist from the very beginning until post-release. You should be able to do basic MySQL and run scripts to aid in testing.
You will submit test cases and file bug tickets, tracking their process and verifying their status as they are fixed and implemented. It is important for you to point out to the development team both potential and actual problems that may occur.
iKnow! is a deep application with many features and concepts; it also has three clients (web, iOS, Android). You will need to learn the service well, and experience with complex, cross-platform applications is very welcome.
If you have experience in automation, we'd love to hear about it, but it's not required. Japanese language experience is not required, but welcome.

The Hiring Process
---------------------------
Our hiring process is straightforward. If your application looks promising, this is what you can expect:
* A quick call with our lead tester
She'll ask a little about your past experience and current situation, let you know what it's like to work at iKnow!, and answer any questions you may have. If you're in Tokyo, you're welcome to come to the office and do this in person.
* Testing experience interview
We'll spend up to 60 minutes evaluating your experience and abilities as a tester with a variety of questions and challenges.
If all goes well, we'll reach out to you quickly and make an offer.
