I want to design digital experiences that make people feel seen, heard, and understood. Whether they’re discovering music, navigating a new city, or building cross-cultural connections. I’m especially drawn to projects that involve storytelling, human emotion, and a touch of playfulness.
To fully transition into the design world, I completed a 15-month UX Design Certificate Program through UC San Diego Extension, where I focused on user research, wireframing, prototyping, usability testing, and interaction design. This program helped me build a comprehensive toolkit for crafting thoughtful, human-centered digital experiences.
I conducted an in-depth user metrics analysis for Rakuten’s e-commerce platform. I analyzed user behavior data to identify key patterns and trends, providing valuable insights to optimize the user experience. This analysis focused on areas such as product pages, where I recommended actionable UX improvements based on data-driven findings. I presented these key findings and recommendations in a clear and impactful way, ensuring that the proposed changes were user-centric while also aligning with Rakuten’s business goals. This project not only enhanced my analytical skills but also deepened my understanding of the importance of data in shaping meaningful user experiences.
I spearheaded the UX design for JamSphere, a music-sharing platform aimed at enhancing the e-commerce experience for both artists and fans. I developed a comprehensive style guide that defined visual elements such as typography, color palette, iconography, and layout standards, ensuring a cohesive brand identity and an intuitive user experience throughout the platform. I created a detailed design brief that outlined the project's goals, target audience, and key functionalities, ensuring alignment with stakeholders and providing clear direction for the design process. To bring the vision to life, I produced wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes using Figma, focusing on creating an easy-to-navigate interface that supported seamless music discovery. Throughout the design process, I conducted usability testing and incorporated feedback to make iterative design adjustments, resulting in a more user-friendly and engaging platform for both artists and fans.
I took on the redesign of eplus, a ticketing platform, to improve navigation and visual clarity for users purchasing event tickets. To ensure the redesign addressed user needs, I conducted a competitive analysis and user interviews, identifying pain points in the existing interface. These insights guided actionable design changes aimed at streamlining the user journey. I developed wireframes and interactive prototypes, focusing on creating an intuitive and responsive design that would perform seamlessly across both desktop and mobile platforms. This redesign aimed to enhance the overall user experience, making it easier and more efficient for customers to navigate the site and purchase tickets.
I optimized the interface and user flow for Yahoo! Japan’s website by removing unnecessary elements and implementing a clearer visual hierarchy. This approach streamlined the user experience and improved overall usability. I created detailed user personas that represented the diverse user base, providing valuable insights into their goals, needs, and pain points. These personas were instrumental in guiding my design decisions and ensuring the platform met user expectations. To further enhance the user experience, I developed storyboards to visualize user interactions on the site, identifying key touchpoints and uncovering opportunities for improvement. I also improved the website's navigation structure, reducing the time users spent searching for relevant information. Additionally, I introduced personalized content recommendations based on user behavior, which helped to create a more customized and engaging experience for each user.
I designed and produced flyers and illustrated maps for a local autumn festival. I worked closely with community organizers to visually communicate event details in a clear, festive style that reflected cultural aesthetics. I used Adobe Illustrator and Procreate to create graphics that improved the accessibility of event navigation for all visitors.
I worked as a barista while studying for my Professional Engineering exam and exploring a career pivot. I opened and closed the shop, customized drink orders, managed the register, trained new staff, and provided excellent customer service. This transitional period helped me reflect on my long-term goals and led to my decision to pursue design.
I worked as a Structural Design Engineer on commercial and residential projects, creating and analyzing structural components while ensuring compliance with building codes and industry standards. I conducted site inspections and collaborated with multidisciplinary teams including architects, contractors, and engineers to deliver high-qual
During my time at UC San Diego, I developed a strong foundation in technical disciplines such as structural analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), computer-aided design (CAD), safety engineering, and understanding building materials and codes. These courses not only trained me in technical accuracy and problem-solving but also in projec
I started as a food service worker and was promoted to Lead Supervisor, then Student Manager. I was responsible for training over 100 student workers, managing scheduling, overseeing food safety compliance, and leading operations during opening and closing shifts. I ran team meetings and resolved on-site issues, building strong leadership and communication skills.
