Agricultural wastes like rice husk, rice husk ash, and wheat husk are a source of air pollution in my country. So, I wanted to find an alternative use for these materials. These materials have good thermal properties, so I researched on the fabrication of composite thermal insulating board using these materials. To fabricate these boards, I studied about the different insulation boards, and adhesives used and desired properties for these boards. For analysis, I tested the mechanical and thermal properties of boards with different compositions and quantities of raw materials. In the end, the results for the thermal testings were not as good as expected, but it was a good learning experience for me.
