Mohegan Inspire Entertainment Resort Announces Restaurant
Cornerstone Restaurant Group, a longtime partner of Mohegan, which runs a portfolio of top global integrated entertainment resorts, announced its expansion to Korea with new original concepts of Michael Jordan's Steak House, MJ23 Sports Bar & Grill, and Hi-Fi Chicken & Beer, and Brasserie 1783. South Korea's new restaurant will be part of the Mohegan Inspire Entertainment Resort, an integrated resort that boasts 1,275 hotel rooms, a 15,000-seat multipurpose arena, foreign-only casinos, convention facilities, retail stores, indoor water parks, and outdoor theme attractions. Opened in the fourth quarter of 2023, Inspire is Mohegan's next major opening. "This is a long-running project during the production process, and we're very proud to be a part of it," said Cornerstone President Joshua Zadikov. "We've always had plans to make our concept international. What better way to make a global impression than to bring Michael Jordan's steakhouse and three other concepts to some of the best new entertainment destinations in Asia?" New Michael Jordan's Steakhouse, a smash hit in the U.S., will bring the same level of dining experience to Seoul. Guests can expect the best pieces of meat, exceptional service, and an atmosphere that pays tribute to the greatest basketball player of all time. Designed by Kesson, a famous Korean company, the restaurant will take Michael Jordan's Steakhouse experience to a new level with exquisite interiors and exclusive private dining opportunities. "Mohegan enjoyed an amazing and productive relationship with Cornerstone Restaurant Group and we are very excited about this new venture we are working on for the Mohegan Inspire," said Ray Pino, president and CEO of Mohegan. "Michael Jordan's Steak House and MJ23 Sports Bar & Grill are the two most popular restaurants on the Mohegan Sun, our flagship property in Connecticut, and it's very exciting to bring those two concepts and a new one to Korea." Cooking director Craig Cooper led the development of Michael Jordan's Steak House menu, and will oversee the restaurant's culinary programs as well as MJ23 Sports Bar & Grill, a high-end sports bazaar grill that offers modern American cuisine with the sports-watching experience that Michael Jordan himself can be proud of. Michael Jordan's iconography and his most famous quote fill the space with the latest version of TV technology. Joining Michael Jordan's Steakhouse and MJ23 Sports Bar & Grill at Inspire will be a new concept developed with CRG partner Chef Bill Kim. The Hi-Fi Chimaek will be a casual diner featuring Korean-style fried chicken paired with iced cold beer in a fun, laid-back atmosphere filled with classic stereo equipment and vinyl albums. "We knew we had to build a partnership with Mohegan after tremendous success in Connecticut. We are excited to launch CRG Chef Partner Bill Kim's latest concept on Inspire. Chef Bill was born in Korea and has always dreamed of bringing his culinary talents home. We think people will love his creative take on comfortable Korean food at Hi-Fi Chicken & Beer," said Zadikoff. Cornerstone will launch another new concept on the Inspire named Brasserie 1783, which will have a menu designed by Kim and Couper's culinary duo. The restaurant will be a French-inspired all-day bra featuring a signature hot air balloon-shaped bar, raw bar, stylish patisserie and coffee bar, and a large outdoor patio. The first hot air balloon flight took place in 1783, and the restaurant will honor the spirit of adventure as it serves travelers from all over the world.
