真鈴-Marine-:弾性素材と振動触覚フィードバックを組み合わせたサウンドインスタレーション
This study presents the sound art piece Marine with the aim of evoking positive affect and a sense of vitality through elastic materials and vibrotactile feedback, as well as realizing an immersive experience via multisensory integration of vision, audi- tion, and touch. We conducted a subjective evaluation experiment and public exhibition of the work to examine the effects of elastic materials and vibrotactile feedback on the experience of the work. The results demonstrated that the use of elastic materials and vibrotactile feedback enhanced positive impressions of the work. In particular, the elastic materials, including the interface shape, contributed to the expression of lifelike qualities. The multisensory integration of vision, audition, and touch also effectively conveyed an immersive experience akin to being underwater. Moreover, elastic materials and vibro- tactile feedback influenced the perception of sound as“soft ”and“turbid ”, whereas this perception was not strongly aligned with the conceptual intent of the work.
