It is important to have the ability to create new hiring strategies and to have the communication skills necessary to influence people. In addition, recruitment branding is an essential skill recruiters must use to enhance the appeal of the company and create followers both internally and externally to the organization.

2. Hiring Skills Needed in the Future

Marketing knowledge and skills will become increasingly valuable tools of the trade. In previous posts, it was mentioned that the competition for talent will become even more fierce, which is why employing marketing techniques to enhance a company’s employer brand will become essential to the success of any hiring initiative.

3. IT Skills Necessary for Hiring

IT literacy was mentioned in our last post, “Recruitment Skills Forum: Essential Skills for Recruiters [Part I].” In a recent report by the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ACCJ) and McKinsey & Company Japan (2030 Japan Digital Reform), a nationwide survey of employees found that nearly 82% of workers want to continue working remotely after the COVID-19 pandemic subsides. As remote work becomes increasingly popular, digital technology will become mainstream. The benefits have already been proven and the adoption of technology in the HR space will continue to grow. In addition, the skill sets needed in the recruitment sector are about to change dramatically.
